    Iced Hibiscus Tea for Weight Loss

    Ingredients: 

    -26g (1oz) of dried hibiscus flowers (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis)

    – A pinch of powdered cloves or 4 whole cloves (Syzygium aromaticum).

    – A pinch of powdered cinnamon or 2 whole sticks (Cinnamomum).

    – 2 cups of water.

    – 2 Key Limes or 1 yellow lemon. 

    – Ice cubes.

    * A pinch of the sweetener of your choice or 1-2 fruit cubes (optional). 

     

    DIRECTIONS:

    Make an infusion of the hibiscus, cloves and cinnamon by steeping for 10-15 minutes in water that has just began to boil. 

    Add ice cubes in a tall glass and pour the infusion over the ice.  

    Add lemon slices or squeezed lemon juice in the amount desired.

    Add  the sweetener of your choice or cubed fruits and enjoy! 

    Keep the leftovers in the refrigerator up to 24 hours. 

    *Not recommended if you are pregnant.
